Archangel and Lucifer,
One lives in heaven,
And the other lives in hell,
Although they are from the same root.
There comes the time,
They are composing for one piece
Of music.
The angel, with melodies in major,
Wants to compose a sonata.
Bright color, open sound,
Something can encourage people.
Perfect fifth, perfect eighth.
The music,
Full fills with hollow sound.
Each phrase,
Ends with a perfect cadence.
The angel,
Continuing the process,
Never realizes what will happen next.
The devil, with melodies in minor,
Willing to compose a serenade.
Sad feeling, minor mode,
Something would make people cry.
Diminished fifth, diminished seventh.
The score,
Full fills with dissonant.
Each phrase,
Ends with a deceptive cadence.
The devil,
Continuing the movement,
Never realizes what will happen next.
Somehow, the work is done,
And the Cherubim start to play the piece.
Noticing

And nothing else.
