Our district Waknuk,
with a tradition from long long ago.
with a tradition from long long ago.
The world was thought to be big and round.
The civilized part called Labrador round by sea
and fish, and cold.
No one could live long,
Although
there were only two cold months.

Commandments
and precepts
One learns as
a child
The
definition of man recited itself
Each leg has
one foot, each foot has five toes
The
definition of man must be a mistake

Our district
Waknuk,
With a tradition from long long ago.
With a tradition from long long ago.
The long
bank,
Running away until it reached the hills.
Running away until it reached the hills.
The huge
scar,
That must have been made by the Old People.
(Page 17)
That must have been made by the Old People.

Commandments
and precepts
The Norm is
the Image of God,
The Thing
accursed in the sight of God and man,
The devil has
pronounced his mark through mutiny,
But the true
image is contradictory.

Our district
Waknuk,
With a tradition from long long ago.
With a tradition from long long ago.
It was simply the bank,
Running straight towards the hills
I regarded the country there as foreign
Not so much hostile, as outside my territory
